The story behind Ovee

Pete Tsakissiris
Founder, Ovee
From building games on a Commodore 64 at age 12 to leading major technology and business transformations across Australia and Asia Pacific, Pete Tsakissiris has spent more than 25 years helping organisations and people navigate the intersection of technology, business and change.
Having held senior executive leadership roles at IBM, Gartner, DXC Technology and Avanade, Pete has led consulting businesses of more than 300 professionals, managed portfolios exceeding $100 million and advised Boards and executive teams on technology, AI and enterprise transformation.
Throughout his career, Pete’s passion has extended beyond technology and business transformation to helping people realise their potential, develop their capabilities and connect with opportunities. He believes that success is not simply measured by business outcomes, but also by the positive difference we make in people’s lives.
Today, Pete is the Founder and Director of Ovee, a proudly Australian-owned workforce activation platform built around that belief: giving people a better way to Get Seen. Get Connected. Get Supported.
Ovee goes beyond traditional recruitment, helping organisations build, understand, support and activate their entire workforce ecosystem. For individuals, it provides a place to showcase their skills and experience, discover opportunities, build meaningful connections and access trusted support services.
Pete is particularly passionate about addressing age discrimination, improving workforce participation and ensuring AI creates opportunities rather than barriers. His ambition is to help reshape how Australians find work, connect with organisations and access the support they need throughout their careers.
His guiding belief is simple: Technology should work for people, not the other way around.
Ovee. A better way to connect people, opportunities and organisations.
Get Seen. Get Connected. Get Supported.
The story behind the name
A name
built around
people.
We’re not building software for the sake of software. We’re building technology that creates better experiences for people.
Read the story↓The origin story
Every great company name has a story.
The answer actually goes back to the very beginning.
Back in 2018, when the three co-founders first started building Ovee, we spent almost three months trying to find a name that truly reflected what we believed.
One thing was non-negotiable.
We knew the words Employee Experiences had to be part of it.
Why?
Because our co-founder, Pete Tsakissiris, has always believed that technology should never be about software first.
It should be about creating better experiences for people.
As we continued brainstorming, two more words naturally found their way into the conversation: Orchestrating. Visionary.
And Ovee was born.
Looking back, it’s amazing how much that original vision still defines who we are today.
We’re building technology that helps organisations orchestrate better experiences across every stage of the workforce journey: making it easier for people to connect, be recognised, discover opportunities and do their best work.
This one just happens to tell ours.
Now we’re curious…
